Figiel
is one of those rare horses who has turned his hoof to numerous
things, and has done them all well. When he competed in Dressage he
was never unplaced, and has won some good classes. His
record in the Showring is most impressive too, he won numerous
County Show classes both ridden and in hand, in fact his first
ridden showing class was at Royal Cornwall, where he swept the board
winning every class and championship both in hand and ridden that a
coloured horse was eligible for, as well as standing reserve
"Best of Show". Amongst others he also won both the in
hand and ridden classes at New Forest County in one day, and
qualified for HOYS at his first (and only) attempt . When
he moved to Germany he embarked on yet another career, and went from
hopping over crosspoles to competing sucessfully in 1.30meter
classes inside 6 months. A
modern Warmblood with 3 very correct and elastic paces, and a superb
shape over any fence, he also has a temperament to die for, he can
be handled by children and is always the most mannerly gentleman at
shows or while hacking in the Black Forest. His
pedigree is mainly proven old Trakehner lines, and his correct frame
and compact proportions make him a suitable match for a variety of
mares.
